$12.00 – $30.00
Burdock root is a prized medicinal herb due to its nutritional value from the inulin and its depurative action meaning it helps clear waste from the blood via the kidneys. It has been traditionally used in tonics to help the skin as it takes a load off the liver, expelling waste products effectivley. Acne, boils and skin infections do well with a course of Burdock root.
Burdock is also used in soups and boiled or added to a vinegar it will release the inulin which is a healthy prebiotic fibre which feeds the gut bacteria. Burdock is therefore a very good ‘tonic’ herb helping restore the normal ecosystem of flora in the gut. It has a lovely sweet taste and a pleasant flavour.
Burdock root features in our ‘Sweet & Long root’ tonic which contians Dandelion & Burdock. It is also in our Detox tea with other liver & kidney herbs.
All of our teas are organic or wild harvested from natural surroundings. Enjoy!
