$8.00 – $30.00
Cascara bark is a traditional laxative. It is genreally considered more gentle than Senna leaf, however is still a mild stimulating laxative. It has a bitter taste.
This means it speeds the transit time of the bowel, by stimulating the nerve endings lining the bowel. Cascara is a traditional and well used herb. Its use is safe but it is recommended for shot term usage and is best as a treatment for consipation when used alongisde a bulking laxative such as Psyllium hulls.
Cascara is best used with other herbs that may reduce the griping that can sometmes be associated with its use.
All of our teas are organic or wild harvested from natural surroundings. Enjoy!
