Malcolm Harker’s Expectorant Support, formerly known as Linctus Expectus is a combination elixir of herbs that help to loosen thick mucous and therefore assist with treatment of chest infections. Herbs used traditionally for their demulcent containing polysaccharides help to loosen the mucous by reflex thereby helping to expel mucous easily. Containing herbs such as Elecampane, Comfrey and Marshmallow, plus the oils of peppermint, pine and eucalyptus that penetrate into congestive lung tissues to loosen catarrh, dissolve phlegm  and aid in the removal of phlegm, its other properties come from the Cayenne pepper and Ginger which help reduce platelet formation. It is pleasant for children, adults and the elderly.

Use alongside antibiotics or as a standalone for a cough associated with a cold or flu.

Instructions

Make sure you shake the bottle prior to each dose. The recommended dosage is 10-20mls for adults taken 3 to 4 times per day. Swill the tonic in your mouth for 10 seconds before swallowing.
Children may take half the recommended adult dose.
Contraindications

Please use only as directed on the label. Contains Menthol, shake vigorously before use. Shake bottle vigorously prior to each dose. To accustom to product take a ¼ to ½ dose for the first 2 or 3 days. If taking prescribed medication, consult with your Doctor prior to using 'Malcolm Harker' herbal tonics. Avoid coffee or tea for ¼ hour before and after dose. Do not exceed stated dose. Keep out of reach of children.
