Juniper berries | Juniperus communis | Organic
$4.00 – $15.00
Juniper berry is a well known culinary herb. Juniper is a key herb for urinary tract infections as well as the digestive tract where infection is present. It is a strong diuretic. The volatile oil is antimicrobial against Propionibacterium acnes, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Salmonella enteriditis, Yersinia enterocolitica, Candida spp, Cryptococcus neoformans & Trichophyton spp and some strains of Helicobater pylori. The German Comission E has approved Juniper for dyspepsia and in support of bladder infections (Fisher, C, 2009).
Some research has also confirmed anti-inflammatory action via COX and PAF mediated inflammation. Its main constituents are the volatile oils.
Juniper is also found in our Bladder tea along with other soothing and medicinal herbs.
Juniper can also be used in cooking or added to Saurkraut fermentation.
All of our teas are organic or wild harvested from natural surroundings. Enjoy!
