Kanuka leaf | Kunzea ericoides | Wildcrafted
$8.00 – $35.00
Kanuka is one of New Zealands native tea tree plants alongside Manuka. Kanuka has antiviral properties and also the antiseptic qualities that all tea tree oils have due to the volatile oil. Having Kanuka as a cup of tea means you also get the astringency and any flavonoid content as well as small amounts of the volatile oils. It is a pleasant tea and when you drink it you understand why it was called tea tree as Maori and the early colonisers of New Zealand drunk it.
Kanuka grows well here in Canterbury which is why we stock this instead of Manuka.
All of our teas are organic or wild harvested from natural surroundings. Enjoy!
