Their hives have been in their family for the past 90 years. We enjoy this delicous honey range ourselves and we want to spread it around {excuse the pun!}.

New Zealand Honeydew comes from placing the hives in the Beech forests in the South Island which is the premium indigenous forest in the Southerbn Alps of New Zealand. It has the highest natural anti-oxidant levels of any honey in the world. Antioxidants are necessary for the functioning and stability of our body cells and although our bodies make antioxidant enzymes we also need antioxidants from our diet. The main group of antioxidants in honey are the bioflavonoids pinocembrin, chrysin, pinobanksin, and galagin. Pinocembrin is found only in honey and bee propolis. This has been proven by comprehensive studies and testing of honey from around the globe. Honeydew is also rich in minerals, antioxidants, and oligosaccharides which act as pre-biotics, feeding our own beneficial bacteria that live in our gut. This makes it a wonderful ally and a seriously wonderful food for anyone with gut issues or chronic antibiotic use. Enjoy!
