Mullein leaf is a traditional European cough remedy. It is genreally considered a gentle and soothing herb for stubborn and hard to remove mucous.
It can be used for any kind of cough including bronchitis. It is a specific in the British Herbal Pharmacopoea for bronchitis with a hard and sore cough.
It is usually used in combination with other lung herbs.
Mullein is a lovely soft leaf which is often called ‘wild toilet paper’ due to the soft texture of the leaf. It has become naturalised around New Zealand.
