Nettle leaf | Urtica dioica | Organic
$10.00 – $40.00
Common Stinging Nettle is a naturalised weed in many countries, but this doesn’t mean it isn’t helpful nor medicinal in quality!
Nettle is high in mineral content especially iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, silica, selenium, zinc, mangnese & copper. It is also high in vitamin K, folate, Vitamin C & E. This makes it a lovely nutruitive tonic. This can be made by steeping the herb overnight and drinking half a cupful each morning for several days.
Nettle root contains beta-sitosterol which is used for enlarged prostate. It has been shown to reduce the conversion of aromatase conversion of testosterone to oestrogen.
Nettle leaf is the main part of the plant we use. It contains quercetin which has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic properties.
Nettle is found in our Spring Tonic for its anti-allergenic properties and also our Give me the Baby tea for its nutritive qualities, our Detox tea for its diuretic properties and our Heavy Nettle tonic for its iron content.
All of our teas are organic or wild harvested from natural surroundings. Enjoy!
