Combined they encompass the Māori principles of Kaitiakitanga (Sustainability) and Mauri Ora (Good Health) which speak of Life and us as the living protectors that nurture the land and with it ourselves. The top of the BioWhenua logo design represents the Kaitiaki (protector), instilling life into the Whenua (land).
