Solgar Kangavites are a complete multivitmain and mineral tablet designed for children aged 3 and upwards. Children aged between 3 and 6 can chew one tablet daily and above age 6, take 2 daily. This tablet provides the recommended daily intake for most of the vitamin and minerals therefore this is good for topping up what kids get from their diet and is essential for those fussy eaters who wont be getting near the recommended daily intakes. Children with helath problems such as low immunity, eczema or asthma may benefit from the extra minerals. The only nutrients it doesn’t contain are the omega oils which you can get from a quality Fish oil or Flax seed oil, and then you’re covered.
The body easily assimilates these nutrients into the bloodstream and the liver decides what is needed straight away and what can be stored for future use. Preventing vitamin and mineral deficiency is a form of health insurance as nutrients are required for cells to be able to function normally. The definition of a nutrient is one that is “required from the environment” in other words we can’t make them so we need to ingest them. Without them we cannot function.
